BABC British American Business Council

The BABC is the largest transatlantic business network, with 23 chapters — and 2,500 member companies, including many of the world’s largest multinationals — based in major business centers throughout North America and the United Kingdom.

Companies can gain access to the benefits of membership in this network by joining one of the BABC’s chapters — all of which are independent British-American business organizations that participate in the BABC to provide their member companies with a broader transatlantic business network and additional Member Benefits, including marketing, networking and business intelligence opportunities.

As a BCCTC member, you get access to BABC’s exclusive memberships’ directories, discounts, and programs; contact us for more details.

As well as maintaining an active policy program to promote its members’ policy interests with Government, the BABC issues updates to all its member companies on key US, UK and EU policy issues through our bimonthly communication, “Policy Focus”.

Additionally, in “Investment News”, a monthly summary of transatlantic economic data, you will find:
1. Economic Indicators: UK / London and US / NY
2. Investment Indicators: UK / US / Global
3. New Investments: US Investments into UK and UK Investments into US
4. Trade Shows: UK, US

Once a year the BABC brings together members of all its 23 chapters throughout the UK and North America at its Annual Transatlantic Business Conference, for a 2-day program of high-level business discussions and networking with business executives actively involved in transatlantic business.

The BABC’s next Annual Conference will be held in Chicago in May 10-11 – click here to get more information. It has previously been held in Atlanta, Birmingham (UK), Chicago, Edinburgh, London, Los Angeles and New York City.

This year’s Annual Transatlantic Business Conference, bringing together members of the BABC’s 20 plus chapters throughout the US and the UK, seeks to address what challenges Cities and business face in our changing world.

Cities can bring prosperity and opportunity and be exciting places to live. All of this attracts talent which in turn generates significant economic output. However, urbanization also brings great challenges, from increasing pressure on infrastructure and services, to managing risk. Our 2016 conference will feature a blend of keynote addresses from senior Government figures to significant business leaders.

Held at the stunning News UK venue over looking the Thames, we would love you to join us to discover cutting edge solutions for smarter and more agile Cities, meet businesses re-shaping business centres of the future and interact with influential leaders in business and government.
