About the Belt and Road Initiative

Spearheaded by the Chinese Government, this initiative is designed to boost economic, trade, investment and other ties of 65 countries acrossAsia, Europe and Africa covering 63% of the world’s population.It offers unprecedented business opportunities in such sectors as infrastructure, transportation, logistics, financing and investment in the beginning. Major objectives of this Mission

  • To facilitate the delegates to leveragetheinauguralBelt and Road Summitand the additional programmes to:
  • obtain first-hand market intelligence of the Belt and Road initiative from international thought-leaders, senior ministers from countries along the Belt and Road, and world-renowned business leaders;
  • explore potential business opportunities in the markets covered by the Belt andRoad initiative and make informed decisions on strategies and business plans;and
  • meet new contacts, potential partners and clients

  • Land Transportation: Suppliers of technologies, services and products, e.g intelligent transportation systems(ITS), etc. which enhance the connectivity and management of infrastructure facilities like railways and highways

  • Logistics and Maritime Services: Owners and operators of railways, terminals, ports, airlines, shipping companies, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics services providers;
